The Closer to Free Ride is first-and-foremost a fundraising event. The dollars our participants raise will provide essential support for the world-class research and patient care at New England’s most comprehensive cancer center, Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center.
To support our fundraising goals, all In-Person Riders commit to a fundraising minimum - $500 for adults and $250 for students/youth. Whether you've never fundraised before or you’re a seasoned pro - we know you can do this and we’re here to help.
100% of your fundraising makes an impact.
We’re proud to say that 100% of the money raised by our Riders and Volunteers goes directly to Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center. You can feel confident asking for support from friends and family as every dollar they donate will go directly to patient care and research.

2023 CTF Lawn Sign
Show your CTF Ride Pride with our 2023 lawn sign! Free to all participants, lawn signs may be picked up at Cohen's Bagels, Smilow Cancer Hospital Boutique, Zane’s Cycles and New England Brewing Company Tap Room. More information about pickup times and locations can be found here. For those who can't pick up a sign, a digital version can be downloaded below!

The Closer to Free Bingo boards are back! With both lower and higher donation board options, you can challenge your friends to help you fill your board one donation at a time on your social media. Include your fundraising link at the bottom of the board to make it easy for donors.
